Rochford Thompson-APIS - Data capture softwareRochford Thompson APIS is a fully featured, easy to use software package for collecting and transmitting passenger data for carriers participating in the US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Advance Passenger Information System (APIS). Rochford Thompson APIS provides a carrier with an automated method of creating Arrival and Departure Passenger Manifests conforming to the latest CBP "Final Rule" and sending data via UN-EDIFACT to CBP. By using Rochford Thompson APIS with an RTE6701 Passport Reader the travel document data can be quickly and accurately captured and inserted into the manifest. Additional data such as US address can then be manually added for the appropriate (e.g. non-US) passengers. The software is supplied ready to use and can be installed on stand alone PC’s or across a network. It is easily configured with an individual carrier’s details and user training is minimal. Flight Setup allows the user to easily configure the required APIS flight details:
Passenger Data Capture supports all mandatory APIS data including:
Passenger data for a flight may be captured on any number of PC’s or workstations and exported to the EDI transfer program, either across a network or via flash pen drive or diskette. The EDI transfer program converts the data into the required UN-EDIFACT format and transmits it to CBP via a number of supported export/transfer methods. The data can be emailed to the CBP APIS inbox via a normal dial-up link or email server. Alternatively, on request, your current SITA or ARINC Type B messaging can be supported. Rochford Thompson APIS has been pre-tested against the CBP test system and supplies data to CBP, TSA and ONRA rules.
